About:
John Reitz turns 100 this year. In his honor, we have commissioned the piece “Century Overture,” inspired by musical references from 1924, the year John was born. The program also includes "My Romance", "Pirates of the Caribbean", "Fanfare for the Common Man", "Porgy and Bess, and more." SaddleBrooke Winds and Strings evolved from a “garage band” of SaddleBrooke musicians wanting to play with others in 2013, to the present day community group consisting of amateur and professional musicians from SaddleBrooke and surrounding areas.
