I was born in Roswell, NM, moved to Phoenix at the age of 3 and have been a
resident ever since. Inspired by watching the Beatles perform that fateful day in 1964 on the Ed Sullivan Show, (where have I heard this story? - ed.) I began playing guitar shortly thereafter when I was nine years old.
My older sister bought every Beatle's album as soon as it came out, so when she wasn't home I listened to every song and tried to learn each one, note for note. Many hours slaving over a hot record player. George of course was my favorite, the quiet intellectual lead guitarist. I never thought I would able to play that fantastic intro to "Roll Over Beethoven" but I plodded along on my $30 classical and dug every minute of it! I enjoyed Paul's marvelous voice, Ringo's devil-may- care attitude and John' wit and cynicism.
When Mark and Bobby asked if I would be interested in this project, I had no idea it would be this challenging or this much fun. We all take a lot of pride in doing this material faithfully, and it is well worth the effort. This band is a exciting opportunity to play the songs and honor the group that made me want to be a musician in the first place.
